I will complete your inspection as though my family will move in the next day.  If you are unable to attend the inspection, my report will make you feel like you did.  My goal is to find safety and functional defects without over-reaching.  I find no pleasure in reporting bad news or causing drama.  I want the process to run smoothly for you.  Rest assured, I am incredibly thorough with my inspections and take my ethical responsibility with my clients very seriously.  I have next day appointments and will take care of all the scheduling needs.  I offer quick turn around on my reports and will be mindful of your deadlines. Give me call and I will take it from there.

A little more about me......

I decided a long time ago that the way you treat people matters.  We all have struggles life and if I can do one thing to make your life a little less stressful and bring a smile to your face, then I will do it.  Serving others and helping people reach their goals is part of who I am.  After high school, I worked commercial construction at Ft. Knox KY.  I started at the bottom as a laborer and worked my way to become a site superintendent.  I did this in the summer months between semesters in college.  As a site superintendent, I was responsible for all aspects of a multi-million-dollar renovation project at Ft. Knox Kentucky.  I worked closely with each skilled trade on the job site throughout the duration of the project.  After college, I became a teacher and worked at Eastern High School in Middletown, KY for 17yrs and continued working construction in the summer months.   My experience as a school teacher taught me people can reach their goals if you give them the right information and help navigate potential barriers along the way.  As your home inspector, I want to do the same thing for you.  Your inspection doesn’t have to be a scary process.  It actually can be a fun and positive experience.  Taken together, my experience in commercial construction and in education provides an added value other inspectors can’t provide.

I have been married to my sweet wife, Kelly, for 19 years.  We have two children, Cate and Carter who attend Camden Station Elementary and South Oldham Middle School in Oldham County, KY.  I was born and raised in Meade County, KY.  Kelly and I are long time members of Northeast Christian Church.  When I'm not inspecting homes, I enjoy coaching baseball at North Oldham Little League in La Grange, KY.

Certifications & License Information

I am fully licensed and insured in the state of Kentucky.  My license number is #275102.

I am a graduate of the home inspector course provided by Inspection Certification Associates and successfully passed the National Home Inspector Exam.

The National Home Inspector Exam is a requirement for all home inspectors in Kentucky.  Passing this exam means your inspector is field ready and has proven competence.  The exam is 200 questions under time constraints.  Home Inspector Exam (nationalhomeinspectorexam.org)

I also have met the requirements to carry the label of a Certified Professional Inspector through InterNACHI.  This label requires the completion of a course in Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and a passing score on the InterNACHI Home Inspector Exam.  In addition, I had to submit previous inspection reports for review and approval by the professional review board.
